A Note From Julia

Just have to say that the last two weeks have been amazing. It is hard to say good-bye to old friends and new friends, but it is always worth it. I have loved every minute of cooking, baking and hosting... and I wish I could have done more. My heart is overflowing with God's grace to me in letting me serve Him by serving others. And let me say what a privilege it is to be a missionary and what a responsibility we feel for not only loving and growing our people, but the joyful responsibility we feel to share our lives and our ministry with those willing to sacrifice to come down. I believe it is one of the most important parts of being a missionary. Yes, we need to be focused on our people - but we are also called to be examples and share the need of the gospel around the world as well as give fellow Christians a chance to see that what we do is not crazy or unbearable - it is a wonderful adventure full of surprises, blessings and bumps that we wouldn't trade for the anything... and maybe they may feel the same way and want to go on that same adventure with God one day. Like Alec said last night, we have never seen anyone regret serving the Lord on a missions trip - but we have seen many lives stirred for serving Him more. Thank you to everyone who came down - and thank you, Lord, for the chance to serve them. - Julia Brockell
